Sabine Oaks Home is a socially oriented home that provides many interesting pastimes for residents. The full-time Activity Director encourages participation in regular group exercise, reading club, celebrations of special days, and games; including Bingo, Skipbo and dominoes.
Newspapers, for those who subscribe, and coffee are delivered to the residents in their rooms each morning. A continental breakfast is provided for those who like to sleep in until 10:00am. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner are served in a large, pleasant dining room. Mid-morning and mid-afternoon snacks are also provided.
Weekly church services, a Bible class, musical entertainment, slide presentations, television and movies give residents a number of opportunities for fellowship.
Residents contribute to the smooth operation of the home through a Residents' Council. Members of the Sabine Oaks Auxiliary assist with activities and provide special friends for each resident. The Auxiliary sponsors a monthly birthday party as well.
